CAP Reform, Agriculture and Climate Change Seminar

Earlier this year Common Agricultural Policy Directors from across the UK held one of their regular meetings in Scotland for the first time.

Several contributors to the Land Use Theme, supported by the relevant RESAS advisor, recognised this was an opportunity for the Scottish Main Research Providers to present examples of work from the RESAS research portfolio that is of direct policy relevance to the Directors.

A seminar, chaired by David Barnes, Deputy Director for Agriculture and Rural Development, Scottish Government, was held at the Scottish Government offices at Victoria Quay, Edinburgh on 4 March 2013 to present this work. Around 50 delegates attended, including representatives from a range of Scottish Government policy teams, RESAS and Main Research Providers.
