knowledgescotland Headlines At Knowledge Transfer Scotland: Policy And Practice Conference 2009
knowledgescotland and its programme of engagement between policy stakeholder audiences was described by Professor Anne Glover, Chief Scientific Adviser for Scotland, the Scottish Government in her keynote address to 250 delegates at the University of St Andrews.
This second policy and practice Conference organised on behalf of Universities Scotland by the University of St Andrews provided the perfect opportunity to increase awareness of the new initiative with this broad audience comprising staff from the University sector, Scottish Funding Council, Enterprise Companies and Local Government plus a host of commercial companies and entrepreneurs.
In addition, to the knowledgescotland display at the Conference, a special session featured Scottish Research Institutes - Hubs of Innovation and Enterprise in plant and animal sciences. This session was Chaired by Professor George Marshall, SAC and featured presentations from Professor Julie Fitzpatrick, Moredun Research Institute and Dr Nigel Kerby, Mylnefield Research Services, SCRI.
